Most of our survey responses this year have come from young Christian women. We would like to gather more feedback from Christian men. Unashamed Impact has a corporate belief that godly men and women have been called to leadership in The body of Christ. But we want to have a bigger role in encouraging young men specifically, to stand up and be bold in their faith, since society has done quite the opposite.
Here at Unashamed Impact, we do not believe that age determines spiritual maturity. While most of our participants are between the ages of 23 - 30 years old, we really want to seek out ways to reach our younger generations, specifically today's teenagers. They are the future and will be responsible for carrying on the mantle of spreading the Name of Jesus across the world.
The majority of our audience is either pursuing an education of some sort, or working a full-time job. Over the years, we've received a lot of feedback around how to balance faith with everyday life.
We understand how difficult it can be to foster spiritual growth, while working a 9 - 5 shift everyday, studying for exams every week, or both. Which is why we want to continue encouraging Believers to be intentional about pursuing a relationship with Christ, while understanding the good plans He has in-store for their lives.
The Impact of the lOCAL Church
Local Church Q.1
Unashamed Impact strongly believes in the importance of community within The Body of Christ. We do not believe that it is possible to understand the fullness of the Christian walk, without the fellowship of other Believers. We recognize that the local Church is a huge part of that. We wanted to gain a better perspective of exactly how the Church is impacting our generation. So, we started off by probing whether or not our audience was attending Church regularly.
Local Church Q.2
For the most part, our Q.1 and Q.2 results for the local Church are consistent, being as though 84% are planted in a local Church and 82% attend regularly. Although we want to have a huge role in providing Believers with an opportunity to experience Christian fellowship, we understand that our current organizational state can only provide that with limited resources. Which is why we want to continue encouraging the other "15 to 20 percent" to find a solid Church home.
Local Church Q.3
We don't just want our followers attending Church to sit in the pews. Unashamed Impact wants to encourage involvement. Service is one of our core missions, because we believe it mirrors Jesus' life on Earth, and His command to make disciples. Every year, we think about ways to encourage Believers to accept the call to leadership and service within the local Church and community.
Local Church Q.4
Beyond our research efforts, we've learned a lot by the fruit of our personal relationships with the people in our community. Most of our people have expressed feeling isolated from the overall Christian community, specifically in their city. It's our mission both now, and for the future to inspire Believers all over the world to come together, and "be devoted to one another in love" as the Bible encourages.
A Closer Look At the Personal Walk
Here at Unashamed Impact we believe that prayer is the unfailing remedy for all burdensome. Not only that, but it's a genuine conversation with God Himself.
It is one of the most important aspects of a personal relationship with God, and we want to encourage Believers everywhere to be consistent with their prayer life.
We believe that reading The Bible is so important, that we hold a campaign for it every year with our annual RESET Challenge, and will continue to do so. Some of our main goals in that aspect of our mission is to gain the consistency of daily Bible reading, gain fellowship and go deeper in the Word with other like-minded believers around the world.
The Impact of Relationships
The majority of our audience is single. We are not a ministry that has a huge focus Christian dating, but we do want to encourage our generation to pursue and foster godly relationships, if they feel the calling on their heart. Which is why we partner with great ministries like Whole Magazine, and host our annual B.A.E Chronicles series on our Life Changers line, to talk about the reality of Christian dating with Believers.
We understand that when the Bible is talking about being "unequally yoked" it's not just referring to the people we date, but even those we call our friends. Our message to the Body on this topic, is for Believers to realize that our relationships should not only bring us closer to each other, but closer to God. The Bible says that "bad company ruins good morals", and we want to do our part in preventing that.
Adversity In Living The Christian Lifestyle
Only 15 people were bold enough to respond to this question. Aside from Jesus Himself, no one is perfect. We live in a world where sin and darkness lurks every corner. No one is exempt from facing temptation. We all have a struggle in our walk.
Yet, we encourage our followers to trust that God's grace doesn't just ignore our sin. It empowers us to rise up and overcome it, when we seek the Cross of Jesus Christ.
The EFFECTS OF SOCIAL MEDIA
Social Media Q.1
Our generation spends a lot of time on social media. In some cases we've discovered this to be a good thing for Believers, and sometimes a negative. How can we use social media to reach our generation?
Social Media Q.2
Our team is passionate about using social media as a platform to encourage young Believers not to conform to the patterns of this world, and to know the dangers of comparing themselves with others online.
WHAT ARE YOUR DEEPEST FEARS?
A majority of responses from our survey showed that people fear being alone. Being embraced, having family and a support system, and knowing they are living with a purpose are all core needs. Failure was also a major reoccurring theme. Much of our generation has a deep fear of making the wrong choices, having to live with those consequences and letting down those around them- specifically family. This teaches us the importance of counsel in making wise decisions and encouraging others with the grace of progression versus perfection.
WHAT ARE your biggest goals?
It was interesting to see how peoples goals matched with their fears. Many of participant goals were to secure a family and be successful in their purpose- whether that be starting a business, planting a church or simply making an impact in the lives of others in any way God leads them. At Unashamed Impact it is our mission to raise up young leaders to live out their fullest God-potential. We want to encourage their goals realizing that as they continue to keep God first He will establish their plans (Proverbs 16:3).
