The Pressures of Our Everyday Life | Joel Kazhil

give it to God This is my first blog that I'm writing, so let me introduce myself. I'm Joel, a 17 year old who was born and lives in South Africa. I will be focusing on issues teenagers face in our everyday lives. I'll talk about personal experiences as well. I was raised in a strong Christian family where I went to church almost every Sunday. I never really experienced God 'till I was 15-years-old. I hit rock bottom and turned to Him and since then my life has never been the same.

The pressures of life are everywhere and have a massive effect on us. There is pressure in every aspect of our life. There is pressure to get good grades, pressure to get into college, pressure to get a good job, pressure to please our parents, pressure to perform in sports, literally pressure comes from every aspect of our everyday lives but that doesn't have to be the case.

“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?" (Matthew‬ 6‬:25‬ NIV)

Why do we get so worked up over life and why do we worry so much and stress over life when God tell us that we don't need to worry about life because God has it all under control. Although God has everything under control, this doesn't mean that we won't go through challenges. Challenges are a part of life, everyone goes through challenges. It's imperative for us to go through challenges so that we can build our faith and our character. Don’t feel like you’re alone. You’re not.

"Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope."(Romans‬ 5‬:3-4‬ NIV)

Sufferings don't last. When they come give them to God because he will help you in all you do. He wants to hold our hands and carry us through, just read Isaiah 42.

When you find yourself in a pressurized situation remember that you don't need to carry that pressure yourself. Give it to God. Let Him help you. He wants to help you. Never forget that.

Love you all,

Joel
