As the world turns into utter chaos with so much evil and darkness spreading rapidly each and every day, people getting killed, race riots/wars happening in our country, what do we as Christians, followers of Jesus Christ do in these times? How do we stay strong in our faith during these circumstances we are facing in this world?
First and foremost, we must stay close to Jesus like never before. We need to PRAY. Seek His face. Read His word. Now is the time for us not to grow weary and not grow faint. We must come together as Christians and unite as one body of Christ. There is a war going on spiritually, and we need to fight in prayer. We need to be that light in this dark world so those can see and know the God that we serve. We need to be that light and show the love of Christ with everyone we meet. We need to PRAY for the lost that they would give their lives to the Lord, that they would be saved.
The enemy's time is almost up, that is why so much is happening all at once; he is working overtime because he knows his time is up. Jesus is coming very soon, and we need to be ready and watchful at all times. We are in God's army, and we must endure some struggles and hardships but it is nothing compared to the glory that will be revealed in us when Jesus returns, Romans 8:18. So much joy awaits us as believers who put our trust in Him.
Yes, we are living in scary and crazy times, however, we as true believers and followers of Jesus Christ should not be afraid of what is happening today. Everything that is happening in our world today was all prophesied in the bible. Jesus said these things would happen in the last days in preparation for His return.
Matthew 24:4-14: NKJV
And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you. For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many. And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows. “Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake. And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another. Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. But he who endures to the end shall be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come."
As young believers, we have the opportunity to influence and impact this dark world by being shining lights for Jesus Christ in our homes, our communities, our schools, our workplaces, and everywhere we happen to be. God is raising up a new generation of believers, Christians who are not afraid, who are not ashamed to share the gospel, who are not afraid to stand up for their faith even when it is difficult and unpopular. We are the generation to make that impact for Christ in these last days.
