Inspiration: Monday Morning Pep Talk!

It’s a new, beautiful week created by God. I know there are plenty of people who woke up waiting for Monday to be over with. I truly don’t believe God blessed us to wake up each morning to be ready for it to be over with. I know you probably hate your job. I know you are tired of school and it hasn’t really kicked into high gear yet. I know you probably wish that boy or girl text you back from three days ago. I know you are contemplating on if your parenting skills are truly good because your child just doesn’t seem to behave properly. I know you wish you looked a certain way.

There might be someone who wishes it all could just go away. You are actually thinking your life isn’t worth living anymore or you wish you could trade with someone else. Either day of the week can be tough when stress, depression, doubt, anger, jealousy, or fear is the source of your living. Let’s try living and thinking more like God in order to get closer to holiness. Your bad days will still come but your power source will be strengthened through it all.

Let go of what you’re holding onto and shift your mind to where your strength should come from. I know you want to handle it yourself. I know you want to send that 5-page text to that person that made you mad. I know it isn’t fair to get treated unfairly especially when you feel like you are being loving. I know that professor has an ugly attitude and you rather not go to that class. I know your boss tap dances on your nerves every single day.

But hey, shift your focus on God.

God will show you how to deal with those circumstances. God will present the opportunity of peace so ask Him how to live peacefully in these situations.

God created the beginning of time so surely he provided a way of escape from stress, struggle, doubt, anger, fear, and all negative emotions. It is important to acknowledge that you need help from God. If you’re wondering how to do that, the answer is to pray. You have to show the enemy that he will not have victory over your mind. The defeated attitude is not from God. You have the power to rebuke the enemy from your mind, body, and spirit by using God’s Word.

For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. -Hebrews 4:12

God is your protector. Always and Forever. When troubles rise, your strength in God will either force your situation to stop or for you to move through it. The greatest thing about that is all you have to do is ask Him for strength. Then follow the path of His will God doesn’t sleep on us. God fights our every battle even when it doesn’t feel like it.

1 I lift up my eyes to the hills.

    From where does my help come?

2 My help comes from the Lord,

    who made heaven and earth.

3 He will not let your foot be moved;

    he who keeps you will not slumber.

4 Behold, he who keeps Israel

    will neither slumber nor sleep.

5 The Lord is your keeper;

    the Lord is your shade on your right hand.

6 The sun shall not strike you by day,

    nor the moon by night

7 The Lord will keep you from all evil;

    he will keep your life.

8 The Lord will keep your going out and your coming in

    from this time forth and forevermore
