How can a young person stay on the path of purity? By living according to your word.
- Psalm 119:9
If you are struggling to live according to God’s Word, please don’t beat yourself up about it. It is in the past. You can stop reading right now and REPENT to God for your past sins. Confess your sins to God right now. I know you are ready to live for God with everything that you have. I know you are because God has been tugging at your heart for so long.
God has a plan for you. God has purpose for you. Make today the day you start living for God, fully. Stop your mind from wanting to know all of the details of what, when, and how. Your decision to live in holiness pleases God more than you know. Oftentimes, we can allow ourselves to struggle for so long because we feel bad for our past decisions and current thoughts. We feel like we should be held back from anything good. We feel like we do not deserve anything good from God.
Let me tell you something! Please stop the madness of that mental battle. Nobody is deserving of anything because we were born into sin. However, God loved us enough that He sent Jesus to die for our sins. This is so we may have eternal life. This current life is only us passing through. The true victory is seeing Jesus at the end of our journey. God doesn’t intend for us to make ourselves suffer in the aftermath of our sins, especially if we know God for who He is.
In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace, which he lavished upon us, in all wisdom and insight making known to us the mystery of his will, according to his purpose, which he set forth in Christ as a plan for the fullness of time, to unite all things in him, things in heaven and things on earth.
- Ephesians 1:7-10
You have fought this mental battle for far too long. Choose to be free right now in Jesus. I know you are probably wondering how this will work, why God should love me, or what to do next?
1. If you are wondering how?
-being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. -Philippians 1:6
2. If you are wondering why God should love you?
-No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. -Romans 8:37-39
3. What should I do next?
- He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” -Matthew 17:20
Give yourself a mental break. Focus on this truth that God loves you so much. God wants you to feel peaceful, strong, loved, joyful, and worthy. Your pain is for His Glory. Your pain serves a purpose. This season may not be about you fully. This season may be about your healing being an inspiration to someone else who is struggling like you were. You are healed in Jesus’ Name. You are blessed. You are worthy of all the best that God has for you. You must decide right now. You must live like it right now. Forget about the past five minutes, five years, or five hours. You are God’s child. You are more than a conqueror. You are restored. You are held in Jesus’ hands. You are beautiful. You are handsome. You were created to be somebody great and inspirational. You simply just have to BELIEVE!
Let the past go and believe! <3
