Perhaps you know your purpose that God has placed on your heart. If you don't know your purpose, you know your current job isn't where you would like to be.
I understand how you're feeling right now. It seems like waking up early in the mornings is more draining than actually doing the job. It seems like you're watching others touch their dreams and you can't seem to smell yours, right? It seems like you can't catch a break at all. Why is this so frustrating? When will my time come? I'm tired of being happy for others.
Let me tell you that it's okay to feel tired, confused, & impatient at times. We are human. We are imperfect vessels with a tremendous gift from God. However, in the middle of the craziness, we must activate our praise for the things we dread.
Yes, your boss dances on your nerves. Yes, you can't seem to understand how you will make it through each day. This job is your only means of financial support. Everyday, you're doing something you don't like at all.
God sees your struggle. God hears your moans. God feels your pain. He has a plan for you. His plan isn't like ours at all. His plan prepares & propels you to the next level. Please know that your praise will get you through the days of agony. Yes, 9-5 isn't ideal to you. However, you could be homeless, broke, & still unemployed.
Be grateful! Be mindful of your mindset. Allow praise to speak instead of your pain. Acknowledging your pain will only make your days longer and even more dreadful to endure. Positive words will create a positive outlook on your job & your life. Plus, how can God bless you with the next level if you're constantly complaining about the current one?
Are you starting to analyze your mindset yet? If not, how about this for instance:
11 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. 12 Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. 13 You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart. 14 I will be found by you, declares the LORD, and I will restore your fortunes and gather you from all the nations and all the places where I have driven you, declares the LORD, and I will bring you back to the place from which I sent you into exile.
- Jeremiah 29:11-14
See? God has it ALL under control.
Next time that alarm clock goes off; take a second to thank God for simply being God. Begin your day with thankfulness. Remind yourself that you could be on the struggle bus with no money to supply your needs, stressed out from being unemployed, constantly running in circles mentally and in constant despair.
You were created for such a time as this. This 9-5-faith journey isn't permanent. God wants you to learn something from this moment. Seek Him first, and then respond, blessed in your situations at your job and life. You are not alone in this. I'm right here with you. However, there is one thing that isn't allowing me to worry. I hope you will consume this in your spirit as the long days pass you by. John P. Kee said it in his song called, "Show Up." He simply states,
"Jesus always comes through"
Until the next journey... <3
