Yesterday I thought to myself, boy have I been ravenous and thirsty these days! Now before you let your mind wander, let me explain. Have you ever had a season in your life where you just had to have more of God's presence? More of Him. It's like this insatiable desire for more intimacy with the lover of your soul. I have found when you ask for more He is always willing to pour out more.
Sometimes, I am so lost in praying in the spirit, that I can tangibly touch Him. I drink Him in deeply, I breathe Him in deeply, and he quenches every part of my hard heart, every area that I hadn't allowed him to come and make himself at home. He comes in like a rushing wind and yet gentle in His love. Oh how the scripture says in Romans 8:38-39, "And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord." (New Living Translation)
Just let those words sink in! The scripture in Matthew 7:7, "Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you." (New Living Translation) This verse has never been truer and more real to me until this season. I don't just want to go ankle deep, or knee deep, but I want to go all the way in and swim in it. Perhaps you are in that dry place longing to take that first step and dip your toes in the River of Gods amazing love. Why not take that risk and jump all the way in and let him help you to float as you lean upon Him. In some seasons, you just have to go all in, no reservations and no holding back.
Just lean into the arms of the one who made you, loves, you and has wonderful plans for you. Let go and be vulnerable with Jesus, for he longs to go deep with you as you go deep with Him. He wants to heal you, to deliver you, to strengthen you, to give you joy, peace, rest, and every good thing because you are His son and His daughter. Did you get that?? You are His son and His daughter, and there is nothing that you can do to add to it or take away from it. He loves you and in His presence, you can totally be free to be the son and daughter He has created you to be.
So come thirsty, come hungry for wisdom, knowledge, discernment, or for whatever you need. He wants to welcome you afresh and make you anew so that you can come back for more because he is always willing to fill your cup as you empty it out before Him. Now that's what I call feeding on the goodness of God. So are you hungry? Thirsty? Now is the time to eat up and drink up for there is always more for you.

Some would say I am very funny and quite feisty when I want to be. However, I am just me; and I love myself just the way God created me.
