In every person's life, there is a story. A story of heartache, a story of triumph. A story of overcoming obstacles to make it to victory.
In every person's life story is a testimony designed to speak life into another person's trial; to bring hope and encouragement to people who are in the middle of something that we have already been through and came out of.
When we go through something challenging in our lives, we go through it so that God can use us to build our faith in Him and to encourage and testify to someone else going through the fire. When we go through something, we have to remember that it is temporary and will not last forever. God will not bring us to it, but He will bring us through it.
When we keep our eyes focused on Jesus, the problems or obstacles we face will not feel so difficult or unbearable because our focus is on the Lord and praising Him in the midst of our struggles. Many times we glorify our problems more than we glorify God. And He is bigger than our problems. God can deliver us from our problems if we trust Him and believe that He can and He will.
Having faith means that even if you cannot see the light at the end of a dark tunnel, you trust and know with all of your heart, mind, and soul that the light is there, so you keep moving forward until you finally see the light at the end of the tunnel.
Our lives are like a race where we run as fast as we can to reach the finish line; however, the farther we get in the race, the more obstacles that try to get in our way to stop us from reaching our victory. In that same way, the closer we get in our relationship with God and the stronger we become in our faith in Him, the devil tries everything he can to throw darts and distractions our way to make us doubt God. But that is when our faith muscles kick in the most. When the enemy throws something at you, block his attacks with praise. Praise God in the middle of those attacks and you will experience His perfect peace that surpasses all understanding.
When you come out of those challenges in your life, you become stronger and wiser. Everything that you went through prepared you to be the person you are today. To be able to speak into someone else's life who is going through the same things you went through and came out of. You see, your life is a living testimony of God turning your mess into a message to help and empower someone else.
If you are reading this right now, whoever you are or wherever you have been, I want you to know that your life has purpose. You are not here in this life by accident. God created you for a reason. For you are fearfully and wonderfully made --- by the One who loves you dearly.
(Psalm 139:14, NIV) I will praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
(Matthew 11:28, NLT) Then Jesus said, "Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest."
Born and raised in Sacramento, California, Jessica Daniel started writing at the tender age of 13. She wrote stories, articles, and anything that was on her heart to share. Writing was always Jessica's way of expressing herself, especially during tough times at home. Over the years, Jessica began to realize that writing was one of the gifts that God blessed her with to encourage and impact others for Jesus Christ. Jessica is currently a student at Sacramento State University majoring in Communication Studies. She is about to complete her Bachelor of Arts degree in December of 2016. In her free time, Jessica enjoys writing, singing, spending time with friends and family, and she enjoys attending bible study on Friday nights at her local church.
